Clean high and upstairs windows from the ground

Clean high and upstairs windows from the ground

Why wait for the window cleaner? If you've ever wondered how to clean high windows yourself, an Eagle Extend® water-fed pole is the answer — safely from the ground, with no ladder.

Safely from the ground, for a streak-free finish

Why clean windows with Eagle Extend®?

Glass is unforgiving: you see every streak straight away. A standard broom or a cheap pole wobbles too much to work neatly along the frames. Eagle Extend® is built for precision:

Safe on glass and paintwork: the PolyFlex fibres in our wash brushes are soft enough to avoid scratching glass and paintwork, yet firm enough for road grime and cobwebs.

Control with HexaLock®: the brush locks firmly at the right angle and doesn't twist away against the frame, so you can work neatly along edges and into corners — discover all six innovations.

No hose hassle: thanks to Full Internal Flow, the hose runs inside the pole and doesn't catch on windowsills, awnings or gutters.

Reach every corner: rigid poles in aluminium or carbon reach dormers and gable windows with ease, without bending.

Do the maths: the pole pays for itself

Having a window cleaner do high, hard-to-reach windows can easily cost €45–80 a visit. After about three cleans, an Eagle Extend® kit has paid for itself — after that, you clean for free, whenever it suits you. Not sure which pole you need? Step by step

How to clean high windows like a pro in 4 steps

With a little preparation, window cleaning is safe and effective. Follow these steps for a streak-free finish.

1

Start with limescale-free water

First, remove loose dirt and cobwebs around the frames while they're dry. Tap water contains limescale that leaves white marks on glass. For a professional finish with less work afterwards, fit the PureFlow water softener between your tap and the pole.

2

Extend the pole

Stand the pole upright and extend it to window height. The SureLock™ clamps keep it stable. Click the brush on with the HexaLock® adapter so you can work into the corners of the frame with full control. Check for overhead power lines first.

3

Add soap (optional)

Very dirty windows from soot or road grime? Use the SoapFlow soap dispenser with Glass Cleaner. The soap loosens the dirt as you brush. If you're using PureFlow and the windows are only normally dirty, clean water is usually enough.

4

Brush and rinse streak-free

Brush the frame first, then the glass. The 4-Jet brush rinses the dirt away as you go. Then lift the brush slightly off the glass and rinse from top to bottom. With softened water from PureFlow, you don't need to squeegee: the glass dries without limescale marks.

PureFlow in-line water softener

PureFlow in-line water softener

The professional's secret: limescale-free water straight from your garden hose. PureFlow softens the water on its way to the pole — so no more drying with a chamois 8 metres up.
